Jonathan McHugh paints landscapes, figures, and abstracted impressions using traditional media as well as layered drawing and painting media on collaged paper. McHugh graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University in 2016 with a B.A. in Art Education and taught high school art for several years before pursuing a career as an artist and postsecondary educator. He earned his MFA in Painting at Laguna College of Art and Design and currently teaches painting and drawing at Saddleback College. His work has been recognized by organizations such as Southwest Art, Realism Today, Plein Air Salon, the Terry Masters Memorial Scholarship, and the Pacific Art Foundation.
